Why join Rotary?

Our Rotary Club strives for a membership that is a real representation and cross section of people of all ages in the local community, who really want to make a difference in helping others, both at community and international levels. Most of all Rotary membership really is a friendly and rewarding experience as well as:

  • Rotary is fun. A lot of fun. each meeting is fun. Our club projects are fun. Social activities are fun. And the service is fun.

  • Business Development. The second original reason for Rotary's creation. Everyone needs to network. Rotary attracts members from a broad business community. Its members come from all walks of life, professions and vocations. Rotarians help and support one another, therefore together collectively helping others

  • Public Speaking Skills. Many people who joined Rotary were afraid to speak in public. Our club encourages confidence and skill in public speaking and communication.

  • The Absence of an "clandestine doctrine". Rotary has no secret handshake, no secret policy, no official creed, no secret closed meetings or rituals. Rotary It is an open and transparant society of likeminded people who plainly believe in helping others.

  • Making real and measurable changes in the community and internationally.

  • Developing leadership skills. Serving in Rotary offices is akin to a schooling in Leadership. We learn how to motivate, influence and lead leaders.

  • Gaining an understanding of - and having an impact on -  international humanitarian issues.

  • Every Rotary club has functions and activities that provide a diversion to one's business life. Rotary has conferences, conventions, assemblies and institutes which provide enjoyable pursuits in addition to Rotary information, education and service.

  • Exchange visits and fellowship with our twinned French contact club,  Conde Saint Amand.
